Many Republicans quietly wish Donald Trump would simply stop talking. His rambling speeches, impulsive remarks, and nonstop vitriol constantly hand ammunition to the Socialist wing of the Democratic Party—hurting both himself and the Republican Party.
The Trumpers, however, are all-in no matter what he says or does. I’ve never seen such blind devotion to a politician in my lifetime. And let’s be clear: no one in their right mind should ever “love” a politician. Politicians seek power and votes—not devotion.
There is a major difference between Trump supporters and Trumpers.
- Trump supporters tend to be more independent. They research, question, and often support Trump reluctantly because they reject the extremes of the Democratic Party. Many of them openly dislike Trump’s character but feel politically trapped.
- Trumpers, on the other hand, excuse everything. Character flaws don’t matter. Facts don’t matter. Loyalty to Trump overrides loyalty to principles—or even to the country.
A Republican Party at War With Itself
The Republican Party is deeply fractured, and MAGA has become its central internal problem. This divide will only grow as Trump continues to embarrass himself and alienate voters.
Republican politicians are intimidated by Trump. Behind closed doors, many fear retaliation, primary challenges, and loss of support in the 2026 and 2028 elections. Instead of leading, they cower.
Our allies abroad see this clearly. Many no longer trust America with Trump as president. They view him as inconsistent, power-hungry, and lacking character. Meanwhile, America’s enemies are watching closely—strategizing as they see division at home and a leader who can be manipulated.
Why Democrats Want Trump to Keep Talking
Democrats understand exactly what Trump is doing—a power grab fueled by chaos and division. They claim concern for democracy, but politically they want Trump to continue his unhinged behavior, because they believe it drives voters into their camp.
That strategy may backfire.
If Democrats allow the far left to dominate their ticket in 2026 and 2028, they will make a major mistake. The radical left has nowhere else to go—but moderate and independent voters do. Smart Democrats should run left-of-center candidates, not ideologues.
If they don’t, Trump will see an opening and go on the attack—as he always does.
A False Choice Americans Are Rejecting
What Americans are being offered today is a terrible choice:
- Trump-backed candidates driven by authoritarian instincts
- Or Democrats advancing socialist-style policies
That’s not a real choice—it’s a trap.
I left the Republican Party on March 1, 2025, and I’m not looking back. I refuse to support a party that enables Trump’s hunger for power while ignoring the damage he causes at home and abroad.

Trump’s many character flaws don’t matter to his loyalists—but they matter to the country.
A Better Path Forward
That’s why I fully support The Forward Party, founded by Andrew Yang. It brings together Republicans, Democrats, Independents, and non-partisans who still believe in:

- Strong values
- Open debate
- Working together for the American people
We won’t agree on everything—but we’ll argue in good faith and do what’s right for the country.
